Today I chat about Twitter Grader. Its an interesting service if not a little cryptic on how to they generate their results.
This NaPodMo, is also PodioMedia Chat episode 52.
Sorry its been such a long time for an episode, however I hope this one is well worth the wait!
Today I chat with Dave Acampo and Jeremy Rogers from the Audio Drama Wormwood.
I’m using a new program to edit this episode, so I am very curious to know what you think of the episode, please do let me know!
Today I talk really briefly about the election, and about Adobe Audition.
I’m a little late in joining the game I know, but hopefully will be able to finish the month out strong. So here is my 1st NaPodPomo episode, a rant about ordering online from Adobe.
iTunes now has the premiere episode of My Own Worst Enemy available for free, I’m sure it will stop being freeĀ once the show comes on the air.
The premise for this show is basically the movie True Lives, but with a twist. The spy character, and the normal work person have seperate identities with in the same body.
The show indicates that the “normal person” was supposed to have no knowledge of the spy. His work (which is in a fictional building in downtown LA) has a special elevator in which he switches from one person to another in a controlled matter.
However something has gone wrong, he now switches between spy and normal person at a drop of a hat, and always not at the best of times.
One thing that is interesting, it seems he may be the only one with the split personality, at least some of his co-workers know what is going on, it does certainly leave you wanting to know what is going on for sure.
Check the show out on iTunes by clicking here. Or here at NBC’s web page.
NBC has decided to totally redo their series from the 80’s, Knight Rider. For those who are to young to remember, or those of you who didn’t watch the initial series the original series was basically this:
Michael Knight is a member of a law enforcement organization with a totally computerized car known as K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand) in the age before the internet, and wireless connectivity the car (who was as much a character in the series as the humans) could access computer records from many different sources. With information that K.I.T.T. discovered it and Michael Knight solved cases that were, committed by those who were “above the law.” A more complete description of the show can be found on the Wikipedia.
While there had been several other shows and made for TV movies regarding Knight Rider, some of which had little to nothing to do with the original series, this appears to be the first one that a lot to do with the original.
I started this entry before the show was officially on, and so far I have to say the show has been great!
Being unemployed sucks, espicially now that there are actually some things that are pretty high on my ‘wish list’ right now.
One of the items is already out, and besides its DRM issues, has been getting great reviews. This is the game Spore, by EA.
Reviews for this game are available at: The Washington Post, GameSpot, and many others.
The other game I would get, which isn’t out quite yet (will be this week though) is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. In this game, you play Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice on a mission to finish getting rid of the Jedi. I have played the free demo available for the PS/3, and it was rather easy, at least till you have to battle the AT-AT, however going by other things I have seen, that level is supposed to be rather easy.
Anyways, if I had a job right now, these two games would be high on my want list. I would hope to already have Spore, and probably spending way to much time playing it, but …..
Have you seen this new commercial?
Can’t you just imagine Bill Gates going to a Payless-like shoe store to buy his shoes?
This “commercial” is supposedly a start of a multi-commercial segment for Microsoft Vista. Once again Microsoft is playing catch-up, with Apple.
It seems, so many people didn’t ‘get’ the commercial, that earlier today Microsoft called reporters, to explain it.
Do you think, that Microsoft will ever make an Ad as good as Apple’s? Give them 10 years, maybe they’ll get close.
When I told my friend’s on Twitter, that I had just seen the “stupidest Microsoft commercial ever,” someone responded with, “Is it a stupid commercial if everyone is talking about it?” If almost everyone is saying how stupid the commercial is then yes.
Does Microsoft really think, people will be anxiously awaiting the next commercial?
While I liked most of the songs that Jonathan Coulton did at the New Media Expo, there is one song that I wished he had sang but he didn’t :-(.
However, thanks to the wonders of YouTube and Twitter, I found he did sing Still Alive with Felicia Day (who was also at the NME) up at PAX08.
This is a test post of the newest version of WordPress and Podpress. If you like this MP3 file, you can find more of this series by checking out the Misadventures of Sherlock Holmes website.
