So recently I was thinking about a new idea for Podcasters, those of us who with very little thanks bring you our dear listeners “whatever nut job idea” we have. Here is an idea which may have been attempted previously but I’m not aware of it.
A blogging tool specifically designed for podcasters. Currently most podcasters use a combination of: WordPress + PodPress / Blubrry PowerPress + Feedburner Feedsmith
And this system works well, however I have to believe that something geared directly toward podcasters would work even better. Taking the best parts of each of the 3 systems, along with additional things that podcasters may want, to build the ultimate podcasting web tool.
Of course, as a side benefit there would be less hacks (initially at least) as this wouldn’t be as common of a blogging system.
So what goodies beyond the ones I listed here would you also like to have? Google Analytics? Something else?
So now I’ve been at HostGator for a month so far. And as I thought in my previous posting, it is nice having clear lines of distinction between the levels of support. Sometimes however it can be frustrating. Though as a general rule, if we know how to do something we can help the customer do it, with out getting into any issues, as long as we let the customer know this is beyond what we normally offer, and other agents may not help them with the same issue.
If you look on a map, Houston is really close to the Gulf of Mexico, though not close as compared to how close I was to the ocean when I lived in Torrance and Manhattan Beach. (I’m currently about 62.7 miles away from the Gulf of Mexico).
When I first got here, the weather seemed to be pretty comparable to that of Manhattan Beach and Torrance, I assume that is the heart of winter here. We then got some very muggy days, and then some very rainy days. For a week now its been raining at least an hour each day.

Yesterday I went to a local comic book store, to see if they had any Steampunk comics. While there seems to be a lot of movement toward Steampunk being the next big thing in publishing, comics don’t seem to have this yet.
However, I did find something of possible interest. Orson Scot Card, has agreed to a Ender’s Game comic book. At first I was wondering, “What will the comic cover?” the one page ad I saw for it didn’t give much information. My original thinking was it could be a seralized version of the novel.
However, there are many sections of the book which I think would be difficult to do. In the novel, there are several sections in which nudity of the young main characters is considered to be a non-issue. Of course none of the nudity is an actual plot point, and having some kind of underclothes on the characters wouldn’t really change anything. Another idea, which one of my podcasting friend’s suggested was they could also just have creative blocking for the few scenes that would require it.
However, after doing some searching online, I found that IGN had written an article at: IGN: Ender’s Game Hits Comics, that explains the comic series will start toward the end of novel, when he had became the Govenor of the planet.
The adult world is pretty irrelevant to me. Whether I’m off on my bicycle (or pony) exploring, lost in a good book, or giggling with my best friend, I live in a world apart, one full of adventure and wonder and other stuff adults don’t understand.
Take this quiz!
Here is an interesting little quiz to see how how old your inner kid is. Probably easy to figure out how to get it to say what you want it to say, but this is one case where I think honesty is probably the best way to answer the questions it says.
