Not able to make it to DC to see Obama sworn into office? Never fear, you can now do the ecological safe thing, and watch it from your favorite internet connected device (that can do streaming video that is).
Several sites are providing the stream, including CNN, Hulu, and I’m sure there are more. As I write this, we are a little over 17 hours till it starts.
iTunes now has the premiere episode of My Own Worst Enemy available for free, I’m sure it will stop being free once the show comes on the air.
The premise for this show is basically the movie True Lives, but with a twist. The spy character, and the normal work person have seperate identities with in the same body.
The show indicates that the “normal person” was supposed to have no knowledge of the spy. His work (which is in a fictional building in downtown LA) has a special elevator in which he switches from one person to another in a controlled matter.
However something has gone wrong, he now switches between spy and normal person at a drop of a hat, and always not at the best of times.
One thing that is interesting, it seems he may be the only one with the split personality, at least some of his co-workers know what is going on, it does certainly leave you wanting to know what is going on for sure.
NBC has decided to totally redo their series from the 80′s, Knight Rider. For those who are to young to remember, or those of you who didn’t watch the initial series the original series was basically this:
Michael Knight is a member of a law enforcement organization with a totally computerized car known as K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand) in the age before the internet, and wireless connectivity the car (who was as much a character in the series as the humans) could access computer records from many different sources. With information that K.I.T.T. discovered it and Michael Knight solved cases that were, committed by those who were “above the law.” A more complete description of the show can be found on the Wikipedia.
While there had been several other shows and made for TV movies regarding Knight Rider, some of which had little to nothing to do with the original series, this appears to be the first one that a lot to do with the original.
I started this entry before the show was officially on, and so far I have to say the show has been great!
One of NBC’s new programs is called Chuck. It’s basic theme is, a computer nerd, who isn’t very good with ladies is given all the information that both the CIA and NSA have stored in this one computer. It seems to be acted pretty well for a TV program, I couldn’t help to be reminded of the 1969 Disney Movie, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes.
While obviously updated for today’s standard, I think there will be a lot of people who will relate to this show, and wish they could be in Chuck’s position. If this program was shown on Fox, they’d probably cancel it. If Heroes is any indication, hopefully NBC wont.
